RECIPE OF MURUKUL

 RECIPE OF MURUKUL

1) Take 1/4 cup of clear Urad Dal.

2) Take a pan pour Urad Dal in it ,on the flame and roast it until it become slight brown color.

3) After roasted Urad Dal turn off the flame and wait to become cool.

4) After cool add to blender and blend it into powder like a flour.  

5) Add 1 cup rice flour , 3 to 4 tbsp. of Urad Dal roasted gram flour, ajwain, chili powder ,sesame    seeds(tili) (optional).

6) Mix everything very well. then heat up one tbsp. oil in pan and pour it then again mix it well.

7) Pour little little water and knead the flour to make smooth and non sticky dough.

8) Grease the mould, fit the star murukul plate and fill the stuff the dough inside.

9) Slowing begin to press mould to release the dough and make the spiral on a moist cloth or on a small cuts of butter paper.

10) Put on the flame in medium high, make sure the oil is hot enough. now place them when the oil is    hot enough.

11) To check is oil is good hot enough to cook. lets place some piece of dough in the hot oil if its start bubbling then oil is ready. 

12) Now place spiral dough in hot oil and keep stirring until its become stop bubbling, some golden and crispy.

13) Drain the murukul on the kitchen tissue paper.

14) Store the murukul in air tight stainless steel or glass jar.

15) Now its ready to serve.
